I was wondering what will happen If you have a ferret in Queensland? I know they are illegal in the state of QLN.But say you lived in Sydney and had a ferret and you moved to Queensland?Do you have to give him away?Or if you take him to Queensland will they fine You?

  1. There is a maximum fine of 800 penalty units ($60,000) for keeping a ferret. Only zoos and film and television productions are eligible for permits to keep ferrets in Queensland.

    And it will be taken from you, and probably destroyed as the person above me said.


  2. You would have to give the ferret away in NSW.  If you are found with a ferret in QLD it will be confiscated and destroyed.
