Do the people in Republic of Ireland get along with the people

in Northern Ireland?

Yes, is the short answer to this question.  Being in the Republic of Ireland I regularly go to visit my neighbours in Northern Ireland and find that they generally have 2 legs, 2 arms, 1 head and speak in a dialect of English that is not undecipherable.

That's like asking if the people in the US get along with the people in Canada.  Of course they do.

By and large yes.

If you look at the everyday normal people we get along just fine. Of course there are exceptions on both sides but they are the exception not the norm.

I live in Northern Ireland and I get along with my Southern neighbours just fine. It's when they raid our areas and come here to rape and pillage that i get a little upset.

That's a good questions because growing up in America, I've had the opportunity to get to know many people from Ireland.  We had 2 neighbors on our lane and one was from Belfast and the other from Kerry and they couldn't stand one another.  One would whisper about the other, " Well you know that's the way they are in the North/South of Ireland.  Low class of people only come from there, etc."  Pretty funny.
