I'm curious to see other midwesterners reaction on the quake this morning. I'm from Midwestern Indiana, close to the epicenter of the quake. I was sitting on my computer, when the whole house began to rumble. It is something I've never expierenced, and it was quite amazing. I was scared, but the hard part is over. I immediately called the news station. We have had some aftershocks, and I think this is weird, yet cool. Did you feel it? and if so what was your reaction? Thanks :)

  1. Yes, I live in Gary, Indiana, and I for sure felt it.  It was crazy shaking of the whole house.  I live by train tracks, so at first I thought it was trains changing tracks.  But then when everything started literally moving, I realized it was something else.  Especially when I didn't hear any train.  :)    So it lasted for a little while and I was very confused, but I found out not too long ago it was a quake; which freaked me out even more.

  2. Louisville Kentucky here. I went around at lunch and took pictures of the damage we have here. Just some bricks and concrete off of buildings and chimneys. I did not feel the quake this morning, but plenty of others did. I did have one cat that was meowing and going crazy. But none of my other animals made a sound.

As for the most recent aftershock we felt here at 11:15, I did not feel it because I was out in my car. But people here at my office building said the building vibrated. We are right in the heart of downtown Louisville.

    :)

  3. My family awoke to the house creaking and the dogs barking.  I thought it was a tornado but after looking outside and seeing a calm sky, it finally dawned on me that we were experiencing an earthquake.  The sound was if a train was going by our house.  It was incredible.
