People in my school are shocked when they see me wearing Abercrombie & Fitch. Is it because I'm bi-racial?

I wear AF because I like it for myself but caucasions in my school look at my funny when I wear those clothes.

Why is it so hard for people to believe that blacks are not always loud and full with attitude?

and I consider myself black because that's the category everyone fits me into so I believe it after awhile.

And one more thing, Why are some whites seem afraid of me? Is it because they think I'm going to mug them or beat them up in an alley?

Why are most children in American so racist?

  1. Abercrombie and fitch is a staple in my hood. I do not see the big deal at all. Billabong too.

  2. Because they learn it from their parents and the dumb sterotypes on TV. I love that show Aliens in America. It shows how ignorant Americans can be. I hope they watch and learn.

  3. I'm white and I used to use a Rocawear bag because it looked really cool and was big enough to hold all my books. I got so much c**p from people about it. White people thought I was weird or naive, and black people were sort of offended by it. I eventually stopped wearing it because I didn't want to listen to people making comments about it all the time!

I guess my point is, it's really stupid. These are clothes we're talking about. What if Abercrombie was headed by a black designer, but the clothes were all the same? I think the roles would be reversed just because of that little fact. So dumb. You should wear what you want and fight these types of ignorant stereotypes.

  4. they usually learn it from their parents or friends. i know its hard, but try to not let their ignorance get to you.
