  1. They have absolutely no idea in UK what scene means.   But dont worry, you will just fit right in with the "punks" and "theater students"and the kids just getting over being  Goth, so don't worry about it.   The young boys will love you because you have an American accent, which they will think is "hot".  Everyone else answered your other questions.   Heres their community web-site...just a quite little sleepy town...on the Thames.."scene" just fits right in..(lol)

  2. Henley on Thames is quite an affluent area so you're rather lucky to be heading there!

The Brits actually are fond of Americans so I'm sure you're make lots of friends.

Not sure either what 'scene' means, although I'm sure there is an English equivalent!

    Good Luck

  3. Driving age will be 17

    Drinking age will be 18

Sorry dont know about the rest

  4. Try searching UK myspace for the place where you will be moving and have a look at a few profile pages. You could even try and make some friends on myspace ready for when you move down. You can get a post code (zip) by entering

'henley on thames postcode' into google and it should bring up a few to allow you to search.

I think most kids will think it's cool that you are from the US. A few kids will tease you but many others will want to be your friend, England is much friendlier than people are led to believe and there is a great scene 'movement' going on through out the uk. Alot of people call it Emo or alternative etc. The kids here will think you are cool

  5. Driving - 17

    Drinking - 18

I don't even know what 'scene' means.
