  1. I am not living on a boat now, but I have lived on a boat for long periods of time, and I have also logged on to Yahoo Answers while I was on a boat.  It is not difficult.

  2. My wife and I have lived aboard our sailboat for over 6 years. There are many  people who live aboard various boats, sail and power ... there are hundreds of people cruising the world and living aboard their sailboats and yachts.

  3. Yes, my wife & I have lived full-time aboard our 45-foot sailing yacht for 4 years now. We're currently wintering in a marina on the Greek island of Crete along with at least 6 other couples living aboard their yachts (mostly British, like us, and Germans). There are another 6 or 8 boats where their owners live aboard all summer and go back home for the winter - but they don't know what they're missing [grin].

  4. that would be me....I live on my boat in the Caribbean ( see the picture ) and have wireless internet service to a nearby provider's antenna....and lots of anchorages in the Caribbean now have WiFi service covering the harbor.........

  5. people living on THEIR boats, not there boats.

  6. People living in their boats... ( correct your grammar )

The answer to your question is maybe... Why not? You can do that by using laptops;-P

  7. david essex maybe

  8. A guy called "Unhappy Murcia" who answers questions is very knowledgeable - he lived on a narrow boat and hopefully may pick up your question.

I have a small narrow boat, which I could live on happily by myself, but not long term with someone else.  We spend up to a month at a time on her during the Spring, Summer, Autumn, out on the English canals and rivers.  She isn't seaworthy but being small (30') she is trailable and can be trailed to a port and put on a ferry to go to France/ Ireland/Holland, etc.

I don't use the internet on board, but many of my friends with similar boats do via a phone link.

Edit your question if there is something you particularly want to know.

  9. I've been living on my sailboat for 4 winters now... it's definitely a different lifestyle, but it's worth it.

and congratulations to everyone who corrected the grammar in the original post. This may not be an English class but grammar and spelling still count for something. At least, they should.

  10. I am sure there are people living on a boat with internet capabilities.  So to answer your question, it's entirely possible.

PS:  This goes out to the readers flaming this guy's grammar.  Yahoo Answers is not an English class, nor are all of the people posing queries from English speaking countries.  So stop trying to look so uppity and pedantic by taunting people for poor grammar.

It just amazes me on the level of immaturity or lack of respect people of this world have nowadays.  Wait, let me rephrase that, people of America.  I'm an American and it shames me that jerks like this are allowed to roam freely unabated by their acerbic behaviour.

Cheers!  (and I mean that in the most sarcastic manner to the oafs waylaying this chap's question)

  11. i know there are lots of people that do live (full time) on boats. their boats vary from permanently docked houseboats to refurbished fishing boats to criuse ships. there is no limit except your imagination and your bank account.

  12. Yeah!! Me!!...Really! (Do I need to prove it? lol) you can check out my youtube movie "tank girl sailing" or my looking for crew website. http://sailingadventure.mysite.orange.co...

(thats how I try to find crew to come on the boat to help me pay for food so I can stay living on my boat....) hope that answers your question.

  13. I know someone who did live on a boat once, but that was quite a long time ago.  I would love it today!!
