People never know how to say my name?

when people say my name they dont say right and i get so embarrased my name is dimeisa but people are retared and dont say like its spelled and can you give me a short for my name

How about "Isa?" You could pronounce it "eeza" or "ayza" or even "eye-za" (There's a Mt. Isa here in Australia.)

Yes, it's hard having an unusual name., I can sympathise with you. "Hafwen" isn't the most normal name you'll ever encounter, that's for sure...

I have no idea what you could be called.  I will tell you what though.  I have not EVER seen a "retarted" person.  I have seen many retarDed people though.  You say people are stupid because they cannot pronounce your name but you should look at yourself, not bright enough to spell retarded correctly.  I am a rather intelligent person, and I do not know how to pronounce your name.  It's very unusual.  I can't help it.  I've never heard of it or seen it before.  Watch who you are calling stupid and retarded Hon.  You point a finger at someone and three fingers are pointing back at you.

No!  Make people get comfortable saying your name, especially if you like it/identify with it.  Americans are so lazy about shortening names to something they/we know how to pronounce, but in this global generation, we all need to get used to more unusual names.  Can you tell people what  it rhymes with or sounds like?

unless you change your name to something that is easy to understand. You could be Dimmy or Esha pronounced eesha). How do people usually pronounce it? Spell it that way. Or else use your middle name or change your name completely.
