If I want to have the freedom to live with only those I want to live near, work with whom I chose. Whats the problem. I have never caused injury to another person for any reason unless they were trying to hurt me first. Why do people think that diversity should be shoved down the throat of everyone.

  1. God gave us free choice, free will.  So it's your choice to remain close-minded, and ultimately, it's your loss.

I would argue that if you look into the eyes of a child of a different color -- deeply, earnestly -- and you remain closed-minded like that, you have failed yourself, your children, our future as humans, and ultimately, you have failed God.

And to take it a step further, each of us retains that little child we were inside our soul as adults.  We are forever children of God, and God is love, wisdom and forgiveness.

  2. because if you have prejudice against anyone you make the world more hostile, and overall, a worse place to live. hate is the reason for war and crimes, and the smallest, tiniest thing could start a revolution.

  3. Unfortunately, I believe, weather we admit it or not, we are all  racist, in some way or another...............some not intentional, but we are.............a fact of being human.

  4. You do have the right to associate with who you want to, but that right ends somewhere about as far as you can reach.  If someone whom you don't want to be with is in the same public place as you, your only civilized option is to move away or hold your tongue.  You can't tell them to ride a different bus or drink in a different bar or get a different job just because they aren't like you.

But you'll miss out on a world of different culture, music, food, ideas, history, and experience.  And that's a poor way to live a life, in my opinion.

  5. No, is it not racist, it a choice to stay away from people who are a lower class than you. Do you want to hang with drug users, thieves, etc.

As long as you not basing your motive on race then you are not a racist.

If you get bit every time you pet a black dog and a white dog wags it tale when you pet it, then you learn to stay away from black dogs till you get to know if it will bite or not.

  6. While I despise racism. You certainly have the rights you have mentioned above....but it is you who must accommodate those rights

You choose the neighborhood and job that meets your requirements...if they cease to meet those requirements, it is up to you to move on.

  7. TOO BAD ITS NOT LIKE THE GOOD OLD DAYS BEFORE CIVIL RIGHTS-- I LIKED BEING SEPERATED- WHEN JESUS COMES HE WILL SEPERATE US ALL AGAIN- PEOPLE WILL GO BACK TO THE LAND THEY BELONG IN- READ YOUR BIBLE IT IS IN THERE- AND ALL THESE MIXED BIRACIAL KIDS WILL GET TO HEAVEN BUT THEIR PARENTS MAY NOT!!

  8. Your right in your thought.  You have the freedom to choose and live, work, play and entertain with whom you choose. We could possibly do that without any hatred towards any race. But, we have this idea that one day true racism will disappear if we keep working at it. It won't. People tend to either love, like , dislike a little or hate, other people. Sometimes those people are of the same race and sometimes they're not.  I try to be optimistic about most things, but racism requires more forgiveness and tolerance than we as a society are willing to give anytime soon.

  9. Well, there is nothing wrong with having a preference as to the type of people you want to associate with, BUT, if you are judging an individual person based on race or religion alone you are limiting yourself.

There are truly wonderful people of all races/religions that you could learn so many different things from, you don't have to agree with everything they think, but it gives you insight and allows you to expand your knowledge of people and the world.

Diversity should not be "shoved" down your throat but if you are trying to keep a certain race out of your neighborhood, church, or workplace you are discriminating and that is illegal.

  10. ...because believe it or not the world doesn't revolve around you and I'll think you'll find you're in the minority. What a damned immature question.

  11. Racism is a sign of stupidity.....
