  1. no il ike josh hamilton

  2. go kinsler!!! <3

the story's giving hamilton a push into the MVP light.. but i don't think either of them are going to get it cuz of the whole "not in the playoffs" thing which i think is pretty dumb because there can be good hitters on teams that aren't doing THAT well... its a player prize not a team prize isn't it?

  3. I also believe that Josh's story is what is keeping him in the MVP conversations, although his numbers are pretty impressive as well. his demonstration of power at the HR derby said alot about this player

  4. you dont get the mvp by hitting for a high average. High averages doesnt win games(albeit runs scored does, which kinsler has 88).  But the players at the top of the home run and rbi list usually gets considered, fairly or not, the "most valuable" to his team. Hamilton is in the top 5 in rbis and homers. so he gets the vote

  5. There's no doubt that Kinsler has nice offensive stats but he must improve defensively. He leads the AL in errors with 16.

  6. I agree with you I live in Dallas and The Rangers are so awesome. I think people are saying Hamilton should be MVP because of his story. If not for his story, it would definately be Kinsler.

  7. josh hamilton  is a better hitter

  8. Kinsler is on pace to score nearly 140 runs. The Rangers have a dynamic offense.

  9. yes, I agree nobody is paying attention to him and he is quietly putting up some of the best numbers in the league, if their pitching was better, texas would be a legitimate contender for the AL West   but right now they are just in it for the Wild Card

If they make the playoffs, you can bet he will get a lot of votes for MVP

  10. yes but hes a nobody

  11. If Kinsler isn't even the best player on his team (Hamilton is), then how can he be named the best player in the American League?

  12. If the Rangers don't make the playoffs, neither are going to be MVP. Look at Morneau as MVP if his team gets in the post season. But if Texas did get in, definatly Kinsler numbers wise.

  13. Kinsler is doing really good. He would defintely be a great MVP. He's very impressive. He defintely is doing well and I think he should get MVP! =]

  14. does he have over 100 rbis?

  15. It's hard to argue that the top 2 MVP candidates are on a team that's 11.5 games out of first.  If they make a comeback, maybe they'll get back into the conversation, but as of right now, I'd say Justin Morneau or Carlos Quentin, depending on whether the Twins or the White Sox get the division (and it'll be wide open if neither do)

  16. because he is a lead off hitter
