  1. Multiply 15% by the amnt you tax them for. Given their revenue, that's a lot of money.

  2. Oil should be part of our overall energy plan.

Oil is a finite resource.  For the sake of the economy, our national security and our future we cannot allow ourselves to rely on a single source, foreign or domestic, of energy.

I have no problem taxing the oil companies provided the revenues generated by the tax are used to develop/encourage alternative sources.  Tax big oil (a finite source that will run out) and pass the benefits on to businesses that are developing alternatives (wind/solar).

    Our children will thank us.

  3. Raising taxes on oil companies shifts the supply curve to the left.  If you ever studied economics, you know what that means.  If you didn't study economics, then find out.

  4. Most people dont realize that their own 401ks have oil stock in them, second in all of history, not one price has come down from the liberals point of view attacks on the rich,as amatter of fact it has the opposite effect, and as each person whom hates the rich feel better that they are sticking it to the man, they dont realize that they in the end are the ones paying the (higher ) price

  5. Our problems are of much wider origin than oil. To select one faction to spend our efforts on is not going to do much in the long run.

Freedom to unleash the inventive genius of this nation will do more in the long run. Abolish regulations which stifle our once free economy and watch the nation regain its former glory.
