People should stop asking stupid questions like how many calories in a cookie and start asking real ones...?

like not "WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR?" but how can we start producing them again... remember a car is not a living being it cannot be "killed" it's made of parts that can be put together into a running electric car... so the question I have is... how can we start making electric cars again???

The electric car was so-called killed in Calif. by our nice politicians.  They get money from the special interest groups and any thing that works well gets defeated by our politicians through special interest groups.  When we vote we need to be better informed as to the politicians.

the electric car is alive but it cost alot more than your standard gas burner a small s10 electric style could run you in the 130000 dollar range so not many are purchased ussually special orders when they find a way to produce batteries that store and release energy more efficently maybe the price will drop and they will become more available they have reasonably priced levs these vechicles however are basically toys they cant go further than around thirty miles on a charge and cant carry more than you or your grocerys but its all in how the battery system releases the charge it is holding and right now we dont have a way to do that efficently so the electric car is just not feasible in todays world maybe in inner cities where you dont go far but over all no.

  I also agree with previous poster about our politicians if they invested some of our funds into energy research maybe we would have the better batterys or charging systems we need

and if you happen to live in a inner city where you dont comute far may i recommend you look into the electric bike
