How long did it take you to ovulate on clomid?

i don't normally ovulate on my own

and took clomid my first month and i ovulated on 100mg

however i took  it a few years ago and didn't ovulate on 50mgs or 100mg - but i had ovulation drilling and lost about a stone and quit smoking)

ive heard it can take upto 3 months for it to do it's job

Depends on the dose and schedule. If you're on 50mg from CD5-9 that's normally the starting place for the 'Clomid Challenge Test', and then depending on the results, they could up the dose to 100mg or move the schedule forward to CD3-7 or on to CD1-5. That's because they want to take it slowly and see how you react to the meds. If they put everyone on the high dose and early schedule they could risk OHSS which can cause infertility or even be fatal. Not good!

I ovulated exactly 14 days after my first day of my period. I was on my first round of 50MG Clomid on days 5-9. I didn't take any ovulation predictors or anything like that because I could actually feel pain in my side when I was ovulating (but I would recommend it if you don't normally "feel" when you are ovulating. that way you know for sure!) I ended up pregnant that first month and we are now expecting baby #1 in March! Best wishes, I hope it works well for you and you can end up getting good results this month also!

It didn't work for me until they moved me up to 200 mg. I had one round at 200 mg and another at 250 mg- no pregnancy.

I ovulated the first round of 50mgs I was so happy put I didn;t get preg now  they put me on 150mgs so now I going to see what happened ,,,,put clomid works
