People that graduated high school. helpp?

If I was in High School again I wouldn't worry at all about dating, I would pay attention in every class and work my butt off, study for the SAT and go to college right out of High School.

I would have to say that my first real boyfriend was my husband. We met in college. I saw all the crazy relationships my friends were getting into and saw them as pointless. None of them were going to last; none of them did.

You do not have to be worried about not having a girlfriend. Dating is supposed to be a form of courtship, where you get to know someone to determine if you will marry or not. Unfortunately, in our society, too many have come to believe it's a pastime that all should engage in. Don't rush things. Good things come to those who wait. :)

Honestly, wait until college.  You'll have a much wider range of choices and those choices will be better.  There's a better chance of finding the perfect girl (or in my case, boy) if there are more girls mature girls around.  Good luck, and don't let pressure get to you.

My little ol' opinion:  You really do not need a girl friend until you are able to get married.  

Having more girlfriends does not make it more likely you will marry someone you will stay with forever.  It only means you have more people to compare your wife to.  Not necessarily a good thing.

If I were in high school again, I wouldn't date.  Seriously.  Every relationship that I had was to please my "friends" or to feel like I was keeping up, and I regret them now.  They were empty and all they taught me was what I *wasn't* looking for.

I met my husband in college, and I can honestly say he's the first person I was proud to call my boyfriend.  My advice - wait until you're ready to be serious about her...dating before that just plain isn't worth it.
