  1. Have you played either of these guitars? If you have, did you like the sound one made better than the other? Which one was easier to finger?

Most of these questions are ones I have observed in watching my brother, an old guitarist, pick and choose among different guitars in shops and yard sales and other places. His collection now includes about 150 guitars!! If you can get through the door and find a place to sit that isn't occupied by a guitar in his house you are doin all the good. Mostly we sit on Kitchen Stools.

As to the price, The less you have to pay for a guitar the better the value and bragging rights. If you just want to sit and pick n grin a bit, whatever you think is fair and which ever guitar you think is cool is the one you should get. Day after tomorrow you will want something else anyway and achieve a whole house full of them so no matter what the weather you will be pickin n grinnin!!

The main thing about picking a guitar is what you yourself like!! If you like it, get it!! You can always trade it or sell it and get another one if this one doesn't suit.

  2. I hate ovation's personally, the plastic back gets on my nerves. An Ibanez is a decent guitar, but at 400 you might as well start to consider the martin and taylor models. I got my taylor 100 for 600 brand new about 4 years ago. Its an acoustic electric too, the newer models don't have the pre-amp but they are still great. The price has probably gone down, or you can get one used for around the same price you would be paying for the ibanez
