People to people student ambassador program? ?

I received this letter a few days ago about having the opportunity to visit france or england. I don't think I will be able to go due to the price range but is adding this letter into my college portfolio a good thing for colleges to see? Can u give me ur opinions on this program?

You can always write you were accepted to the program in a college app. However sooo many people recieve those. Ive gotten it every summer and start of school for 4 years now. Never wanted to go tho. Found most parts of it boring and too expensive. But it doesnt hurt to add it in an application. =]
