What is it about automobiles that turns people to behave more aggressively ?

Is it the physical barrier that makes them feel invincible ?

As a pedestrian - I witness not men but WOMEN behave macho behind the wheel - cursing and beeping.

LOL - people are funny. I guess driving a car is the only sense of "power" we really have.

  1. I think there's a certain anonymity to being inside a car that makes women, in particular  to feel they can be more aggressive than in being face to face.  ~

  2. I think its because of some self thought about themselfs being the best driver in the world and feel the need to explain(or yell and curse) at other drivers for there(most of the time its the guy yellings fault) bad driving skills.  my 2 cents

  3. The answer is plainly that people have a tendency to think as little as possible. Driving safely takes thought. Driving unsafely takes less thought.

  4. They're in their own little world in that car. Few people will be willing to actually come out and confront each other.

  5. Yes you are so darn right. It is a power trip.
