  1. My wife and I spent 10 days in Greece this past June. We had a wonderful time. It was a little expensive, mainly because our dollar is worthless. We loved the food, we ate at several random sidewalk cafes while in Athens and were only disappointed once. Some people we met were in Europe for the first time and were a little unhappy with the service. We explained that in most European countries eating is supposed to be enjoyed, they do not rush you to finish. After a few meals they realized how nice it was to just sit and enjoy your meal. We're planning on going back.

  2. well,i went on a 7-day vacation in Peloponese and it was terrific if it doesn't come to the burning places....Nice beaches, wonderful landscapes, amazing people, normal prices...But next year i will plan a trip to Rhodes at ALL costs! It is said to be among the best islands of Greece!I've been there once but i would like to go twice!

  3. I had a wonderful time in Greece this summer.  I visited with relatives and friends, both on the mainland and the island of Tinos.  The people are very very friendly, the food is outstanding!!  BUT, my only complaint is that everything was painfully expensive due to the weakened dollar.

  4. I just got back from a month in Greece, and as usual it was incredible.Every time I go to Greece I am amazed how wonderful it is. I was a little worried this year because of the very weak dollar but, I found everything very affordable. The best part of this trip was that I got to bring a Friend that has never been to Greece before, and after the 2nd day there she was already planning next years trip. Of course the food, scenery and people are wonderful. I always go in the summer when everyone in the world has the same idea, so I have met some great people from everywhere on the planet all in Greece. The only draw back this year was the strong wind on the day we were sailing from mykonos to santorini, (a very rocky trip) . Another thing I love about Greece, is that dining is an occasion not a sport like it is here. The only thing I dont like about Greece is leaving. Oh well I just hope I brought enough olive oil home to last till next summer.
