it seems like a lot of people believe in real vampires, but what does that mean? I don't really understand, aren't vampires fictional? Can someone explain what a "real vampire" is?

  1. well, the only vampires i think there are are the ppl that think they are vamps.

they go around sucking blood outta ppl necks like they've gone bonkers

  2. a boy of brazil fst started to kill animals then drink their blood. then he started to kill kids and drink their blood.he killed many many kids. he is known as"VAMPIRE"

  3. idk but its just plain silly.

  4. They do exist, there is a bat call "vampire" because they suck the blood out of animals.

If your asking for a dracula that is fictional.

  5. there are vampires out there... and not just the bats. in a way, life if full of them. vampires drink the blood of their victims for survival. and there are people... greedy vile people... out there who feed upon the weak for power. that to me is a vampire

  6. Vlad the Impaler was considered to be a vampire because he impaled people and took his tea in the presence of the impaled victims. Countess Elizabeth Báthory was another famous person who was said to be a vampire because she bathed in blood to retain her youth. These so called "vampires" were people who believed in the myth that blood gave eternal life and youth. There are cults and religions that drink blood as well but are they considered vampires? Not necessarily. The purpose might be the same but I honestly don't know.

  7. yeah theres proof...

    or listen to my ranting...:D

Real vampirism, also called modern vampirism, is often times labeled as: a condition, a disease, an issue, deficiency, a lifestyle, and several other things from hundreds of points of interest. It is something which causes a person to live a life with a never ending need for vital energy. Vital energy is everywhere, it is all around us and plants, animals, and people cannot survive without it. Most people, plants, and animals are able to create and replenish their own natural vital energies by simply eating, drinking, and sleeping; whereas a vampire cannot. Most vampires can make their own energies, yet burn them at a faster rate or they have a leak in their astral body (the body of a person which resides on the astral/spiritual plane). Others do not make their own energies and must take them from others. All of the above are several kinds of explanations as to why real vampires must do what they do, that is take energies from other living beings and things around them. This is what is known as "feeding", the act of taking vital energies from other living things.

The two most common ways of feeding are by taking energy directly from the source and by the ingesting of blood. The first is known as "Psychic Vampirism", it is taking energy directly from people, plants and animals. The latter is known as "Sanguinarian Vampirism", that is the drinking of human blood in which resides the energy of other things (also known as life force).

Vampirism is not something that can be obtained by the rumored lewd act of biting ones neck and giving back what is taken, for this is what is in the books, movies, and legends. Real vampires are born into this life with this "condition", "disease", and so on. Though it is known that some may become vampiric in nature if they learn how to feed from the vital energy of others. I have also heard that if one person is feed from too often that they will develop the need for energy, thus causing them feed from others in order to replace their own.

Some real vampires are parasites, some only feed for the feeling behind it, and others are merely living their life they way they we're born to. There is no good or evil behind vampirism, only what the person feels they are or must do. Just as people are not born good and are not born evil, their choices in life make them as such. Vampirism is not satanic, it has nothing to do with any religious practice or belief system. Vampires come from all religious walks of life and some are Christians, Catholics, and pagans. It is believed by many that vampires are evolved beings because of the ability to manipulate energies to his or her own benefit. Many vampires have the ability to develop psychic skills as a higher rate than any normal person would. However, we are not Gods, nor are we immortal in anyway, but our souls. Our minds and souls are aware of others like us and other sometimes supernatural phenomena. The only "supernatural" abilities that some of us may sometimes possess are that of astral projection and travel, empathy and other sometimes psychic abilities.

Vampires are real people, just like you and me, they could be the man sitting next to you on the bus or the woman eating across from you in the resturant. Vampires do not sleep in coffins (although some prefer tom yet that is their choice) and a stake through the heart can and will kill anything living being. Yes, it is true that most vampires have very fair skin and are slightly, if not severely, allergic to sunlight. This is because of increased photosensitivity usually due to our sensitivity to energy, yet not all vampires are effected by the sun. This is also the reason that many of us are nocturnal, due to allergic reactions to sunlight.

So, to separate myth from reality, we are not bloodsucking monsters that can be destroyed by any cross or garlic. Real Vampires are simply a living person with the need to take energies from the enviroment, living things, and so on. We do not kill people, go to school and work, and might sometimes be psychic.

With the advent of such movies as Underworld & Underworld: Evolution, the people outside of our community again seem to think that we must obviously be fighting some unending war against the werewolves. The reality however is again, nothing like fiction, but there are those within the community who continually perpetrate this story. The idea that because vampires take energy or blood, and thus life from donors and others means that we are inherently at odds with werewolves who love life and nature.

Take it from someone who is a psi and spends every night with a wolf therian, while we both enjoy our play fighting, we're not at war, or the Romeo and Juliet of the therian/vampire otherkin community. Wolf therians are not guardians of life, nature, or Gaia, anyone who tells you that needs to put down their Werewolf Players Guide from White Wolf. While wolf therians, and any therian for that matter can love and enjoy nature, so can vampires, many in fact thoroughly enjoy working with and being in natural settings. I find that the greatest recharge often comes from being far away from the city and other people reconnected with nature.

Wolf therians, and otherkin are also not brutal, or excessively violent, no more so then a vampire or a person for that matter can be. They don't suddenly go on rampages craving cheerleaders and violence as Hollywood movies often depict. We're all humans, none of us are any more eloquent, violent, or brutal then another person unless we want to be. People in the vampire community have no place to point fingers at the therians, we're in the same boat. The difference being, we need energy, and they need help understanding themselves and why they feel differently from everyone else, or feel like they're inside of the wrong body. But fundamentally we're both vastly misunderstood by the world at large and by each other. And this goes likewise for the therian and otherkin communities mischaracterizing the vampire community.

By nature wolves are not solitary, evil, vicious, ravenous slobbering beasts with an insatiable appetite for human flesh, they're intelligent, pack centered creatures that in many places have come close to extinction due to humans killing them based on misinformation and misplaced fears. There are no documented cases of wolves killing humans in the United States, in fact you're more likely to be attacked by your pet dog then a wolf. So it would go to say that a therian that identifies with the wolf would take on the traits of a true wolf, not the Hollywood stereotype.

Wolves are caring, community oriented creatures, pregnant wolves, and nursing wolves are often brought food by other wolves to feed her while she carries and cares for the young. Female wolves often compete against each other for a chance to care for young pups, whether they are biologically their own or not. Wolves enjoying playing with their pack makes, tumbling, wrestling with jaws and forelimbs, muzzling, l*****g and running. Doesn't sound much like a ravenous blood thirsty creature portrayed by Hollywood.

  8. Well no there sint proof that vampires exist but there also isnt proof that they dont exist either, we cant simply dismiss them as fictional creatures without any proof that they exist or proof that they dont...

  9. Was wondering the same thing, when I clicked on a post similar to yours:

They, believe in energy vampires-that take energy/thoughts/emotions from people

  10. Cut and paste time, it's too much work writing this out for the nth time this week, so here we go. There are no real vampires, because they don't exist. Period. There are no real vampires, undead, psi, sanguinarian, vampyre, or otherwise. The Law of Averages is pretty easy to apply to this one, not to mention the fact that there is NO scientific evidence of such, plus the fact that if vampires did exist, they would reproduce at an exponential rate, and would completely take over the planet in less than five years time. Do the math. As none of this is happening, the answer is logically that vampires do not exist. There are people who suffer from iron deficiencies, porphyria, hypersensitivity to sunlight, etc. all the classic hallmarks of vampirism, but are not vampires.

Btw, for every self-professed "vampire" out there, you do realize you meet all the criteria for co-dependency as well as being defined as clinically out of touch with reality? And the educated ones should know better. I guarantee you that if I were to isolate you from all other human beings, you would not suffer any ill effects from being "deprived" of the human "energy" you claim to need. You also must realize that there is no scientific proof to back up your claims of energy or psi vampirism? And the ones with blood donors are even worse - deluding themselves into passing off an obvious sexual fetish as a physiological need. The human body is not designed to process large amounts of blood for nutrition - it just doesn't work that way. And yes, you're human - if I took a sample of your DNA - guess what? You'll be human, no "vampirical virus",no mutations, no alien lifeform, no altered chromosomes, etc. Trust me - if I isolated you from your "donors" and fed you a vegetarian diet with sufficient protein, carbohydrates, and fats you would suffer no ill effects. Why? Because you're not vampires. You just think you are - all it is is a psychological delusion born of perceived social inadequacies. For instance - look at all the self-professed female "vampires" out there - what do you think happens when they get pregnant? They go to the hospital, like everyone else, have blood drawn, get put on a special diet, etc. etc. - and suffer no ill effects, nor does their bloodwork show ANYTHING out of the ordinary. Eventually the truth of their reality sinks in and they stop putting on the white makeup, and the false fangs, and start going to soccer practice with their kids and hopefully living a normal life. When held to the light of truth the delusion starts to crack and cannot long be maintained.

  11. If there is proof they are real then the belief is moot.  There is no such thing as "believing in real vampires".

  12. It really depends on what you define a vampire as, Dracula....no

    Idiots who drink cows blood.....yes.

Bram Stokers Dracula actually isn't based solely (or even mostly) around vlad the impaler.

  13. I totally believe they exist there awsome!!
