they think they are super free when in fact they are quite conservative

polite (depending on the state)

not the brightest of the bunch (not clever)

like fast food

obsessed with the celebrity culture

interferring

obsessed with teeth

sickingly patriotic

dont look out for each other in a socialist way - no free healthcare etc

likes putting people into groups, like - cool/nerdy.. we dont have those groups in the UK

races are very split. black and whites havent really integrated much yet

honestly do try and make a difference for the better

these are just stereotypes that circulate. but personally i have nothing against americans. i think on the whole you lot are lovely. im english and although ive only met a few americans theyve been wonderful. i mean, come on. we're on the same side. i prefer americans to other nationalities. the welsh and scottish for example. haha.

dont ask for stereotypes because they are known for being a bit nasty and demeaning.

im going on a bit.

Americans think the country, it's culture, economy, government, etc. god's gift to the world. Most don't mind when the govt tries to s***w another country over, but get offended when other countries turn America down, fight back, or ask for help.

Most are blind to the faults of the country and its institutions. They think everything is OK as it is. They don't read much and accept most things at "face value", and accept a lot of the propaganda spread by the media. Most believe in blind patriotism (which is the case in countries all over the world, not just America) and are extremely closed minded.

Hi there!

Well here is what I think of americans..

They are really smart-easy thinking..they find good solutions for problems but sometimes in order to make something practical or comfortable they don't care about how it looks (clothes for example..)

They like to have a family life and rarely turn out to be wild.

They are unfortunately easily persuaded to do or approve of something (why approving of making war to Irak or Afghanistan?)

To tell the truth in my country americans are considered mostly a bit stupid but I really don't know why... I generally like americans. After all, my great-grand-father came from Texas and I'm really proud of this!!
