People who enjoy gambling?

if you are a person who enjoys gambling can you leave a quote saying why you like it and why you gamble. im looking for some arguments FOR gambling. thanks

if you can control your gambling you may be ok.. I find it far to addictive.

The most important argument for gambling is that it is clearly an activity people enjoy.  Just look at the international popularity of Vegas.  They have some of the largest hotels in the world just to accommodate the massive volume of people who visit there for the gambling.

In a free society gambling should be allowed, because it is what people want.  It raises billions in tax and charity dollars that does a lot of good in society.

There is NO positive benefit to be had from gambling. NO ONE says this. Cite a reference which says gambling is good for you. Just one reference will do. No matter what the game is, the odds favor the house and over time, you will lose more than you win, on average. I can not justify risking the loss of money just I can not justify jumping out of a perfectly good airplane and relying on a parachute to save my dumb a*s.

It's so much fun as long as you know when to stop. I like to play slots. I feel my heart race every time I push that button, "will this be it? Is this gonna pay?" It's such a rush. Most of the time I win back my money but then I'll gamble it all away again. But like I said you HAVE to know when to call it quits. If not, that's when all the fun runs out.

I like to sit down at a buffet and say, "This is were I win back all my money!"

Okay - I know lots of gamblers...

They mostly say... they enjoy it because it relaxes them... takes their mind of their life.

The responsible ones have a "SET AMOUNT" of money they are prepared to lose.  It's what they are comfortable with... and rather then going to a CONCERT or buying a GADGET or staying at a hotel or buying BOOZE or CIGARETTES, they spend their money doing something that they enjoy.   Sometimes they walk away a winner.   In their mind, if they lose the money they planned to - then they've broken even.

If they really have broken even - then they WIN...

And if they come back with more money then they left... then that's a bonus!

Gambling in moderation can be used for entertainment and social purposes. As long as you aren't wasting all your money and you can afford to bet what you are, then there is nothing wrong with it. Sometimes you can go home $30 short, sometimes you can go home $300 richer.

A lot of people have made a successful career out of gambling, especially in poker. I believe that gambling can provide an entertaining competitive atmosphere like no other activity on earth.

I like to gamble as casinos because you actually do have a fair chance to win serious money.  The odds are only slightly against you and in some cases in your favor.  The only argument you are going to find in favor of gambling is how the casinos use the money.  A lot of it goes to state taxes and funds programs for the public instead of having hefty property or income taxes.  Best of all, many tourists from out of state like to play at casinos so it comes from other states and not the residents.

it's because some lazy people (like me) don't really care about winning games since there just meaningless games. thats why you add some stakes to it, and it becomes intense, you get that thrill of danger and you go crazy.....it's quite fun although you'll regret it the next morning XD

its the "thrill" that you might make alot of money. the "high" of acually winning money. and then there's the "low" of losing 1000 bucks, that sucks, i don't enjoy that, but the first two are awsome.
