People who experience, or know a bit about stress?

What are some effects that stress can have on peoples bodies? physically and/or mentally? I know the basics like headaches and tiredness, but if you think more deeply into it, what are some other things that stress can cause?

  1. RAGE....depression  anxiety ...after  then probably

    weight gain....

Stress can affect the body in numerous ways, high blood pressure, muscle spasms, aching joints, heartburn, other stomach problems, hormone fluctuations, back and neck pain, depression, anxiety, weight loss/gain, skin discomfort, sleep problems, even vision can be affected by stress. Prolonged stress can lead to cancer, and even death.

  3. Stress can cause many different things such as stomach aches, fatigue, anxiety, mood swings, and depression.

  4. Acne!

    High blood pressure, which can lead to stroke/heart attack

    Hair loss

    Exacerbation of skin disorders, eczema, psoriasis, rashes

    Malnutrition

    Obesity

    Anxiety

    Social Isolation

    Cancer (many researcher believes stress plays a roll in malignant cell production

    Violence (child and partner abuse)

    Death by accidents (auto, home, work, etc.) Because you are not focused

    Gastrointestinal disease, ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome, etc.

    And that's just the short list!

    In other word, stress kills, but a mild amount of stress is GOOD for you, it makes us more competitive, imaginative and less lazy.

    I used to teach a course for nursing assistants, (I'm an RN) I used to ask my students, "Which people on Earth have no stress in their lives? It always stumped them. Answer: Dead people!
