People who go to Fashion Institute of Technology or FIT Alumni?

I'm a senior in high school and applying to colleges soon, FIT being one of them. I know there is a big stress on the essay, but for those of you who go there now or graduated from FIT, what was it that got you accepted? What things do you think made you stand out? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello there,

  I am in the exact same shoes. I just got done filling out the SUNY application. There are quite a few steps to the whole process so i suggest  start very soon. But anyways, I have a 2.7 GPA which is not very good, but i'm busting my *** this senior year. I'm taking three classes (typography, life&object drawing, and fundamentals of design) at a local community college to show them im a go getter. Im also taking AP English at my high school. Yes my homework load is intense and I have almost no social life at the moment but in the end, if it gets me accepted that's all i care about. So idk, I'm just saying what I'm doing to increase my chances. Im planning on going for visual communications/graphic design. Hope this helps!
