What REALLY goes on behind the kitchen sometimes? My dad doesn't really like fast food at all since he's really into cooking which he's amazing at. But... do they really spit in your food sometimes or drop it on the floor and pick it back up and do nasty things sometimes when they're upset?

What really goes on behind the kitchen?

  1. Unless you're an absolute rude obnoxious prick of a customer then your food is pretty safe. That  answerer who said that things may happen accidentally be almost never deliberately  to the  overwhelming majority of customers is spot on.

  2. Unless you're a real nasty person and you've p*ssed off someone who doesn't mind losing their job just so they can do something disgusting to your food, then you are pretty safe. People behind the counter usually aren't so immature they do that stuff just for fun.... but if there is a very unpleasant customer giving the employees grief, you can almost rest assured they'll get more in their food then they bargained for. No I will not give details ;-) I think its called "The Takeaway Employees Code" LOL

  3. When I was a teen and had a typical "first job" with a fast food restaurant, there was one time where a large container of "spread" dropped on the floor (I won't mention the restaurant chain nor the name of the "spread"). It was the ONLY container left in the restaurant and the food could not be made without this integral ingredient.

It was scooped up off the floor (which was none too clean) and used. (No, not by me.)

Did we ever do anything "on purpose" that was morally or ethically wrong to contaminate the food? No... But when a drunken group of rowdy folk showed up late one night asking for a ton of salt on their fries and "we had better give them a ton of salt or else! *hic*", they got a ton of salt. :^)

  4. I have NEVER seen an employye spit or pick food up from the ground where i work at. The most they will do is something thats annoying but not disgusting. For example, A guy asked if i has spit in his food, and i told him yes. Ask a stupid question get a stupid answer! he then freaked out and the manager told him *truthfully* that she made the food *a burrito* and put it in the bag and all she did was hand it to me.  He did not ask for a new burrito or a refund. Another time a guy asked where his order was i told him i was bagging it. It was a 50 dollar order, and he asked about 2 seconds after he got to the window. Well i put every single thing in a different bag. Napkins, straws and sauces had their own bags too. I then handed about 100 bags out the window and had a good laugh with my coworkers. So yea we do stuff that maybe we shouldt do, but not nasty or groos stuff.
