  1. I've written a 1000 word essay on my cartilage experience. send me an email at cnclara@netvigator.com and i'll send it to you.

  2. Eh...moderate pain. After I got it done, the area felt all warm. The pain lasted for a few hours for me. I kept the earring on, but I noticed after a few  weeks (I forget how many actual weeks) that the area was still tender and hurt a little bit, I switched to my mom's earrings (made of 14 karat gold). It stopped hurting after a week or so.

  3. Lets see, I got my cartilage pierced at Claires going into my freshman year of highschool. It was quick and only hurt for the split second the earing went through the ear and after that the ear just felt a little warm, It really isnt that bad. They did a really nice job, even for just claires. I was glad I got it pierced there because I knew that everything is really clean and sterile. I also liked how the earings are pre-packaged and thats what they use to pierce your ear, so you dont have to worry about "sharing needles" or what-not. They also gave me a little brochure on how to clean it and how long to keep the earing in and stuff, along with a bottle of ear clenser to use twice a day. However, being 14, I didnt keep up with cleaning my new piercing as well as I should have, and I sometimes forgot and skipped days. After not cleaning it for a while, I got an infection that resembled a small blister. I freaked out because I knew that if it got bad enough, i would have to take my earing out and my mom wouldnt let me get it re-pierced. So I buckled down and started cleaning it propperly, twice a day. With-in a week, it was totally fine, and Luckily I didnt have to take my earing out. I've had it for 4 years and I havent had any problems since. Basically If you go to a good piercing place, and you follow the instructions and clean it properly, you should be fine. Best of luck.
