  2. Well, it didn't hurt me.

I'm from the UK, so there is no point stating where i had it done :P

The piercer i go to is really good. Having it pierced in general was fine. - I didn't feel the clamp , or infact the needle at all . It did swell , and was alittle sore for the first week (as expected), but afterward it was fine.

It took about 2 months to heal .

If you want it, go for it (:. Pain differes for everyone, but most in general say belly button piercings don't hurt too much. It's quite likely that the peircer will numb it off anyway .

  3. I bought professional piercing clamps and a stainless steel barbell, along with a hollow 14 gauge needle, Black Dragon gloves and antiseptic. I put on the gloves, wiped the area with antispetic, clamped my belly button and put the needle through.

It didn't really feel like pain for me, maybe about a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. It just kind of felt like pressure trying to get it through.

I tried to do crunches a few days later, but it was too sore, so crunches are out of the question for a while.

I cleaned it with warm water and orange dial soap at night and sprayed it with H20cean spray in the morning.

Sometimes it oozes this milky liquid. I thought it got infected, but I found out from bmezine that that's actually normal. As long at it's not a funky yellowish or greenish color or pus, just milky and white, then it's okay.

Mine had a scar around it because I held the clamps to tight. After about two months of having it, I started putting a little vitamin E oil on it everyday. I would dip a q-tip in the oil, wipe it on the piercing, and then wipe off the excess with the other side of the q-tip. The scar faded significantly and within a few weeks.

Now I've had it for about 7 months, and I still love it. I was just able to change it last month. It's very cute and seems to make my bathing suits look better.

    It's worth it. =]

  4. First off the pain level is minimum. I live in MS, but got mine done when I was 16 in Mobile, AL.

Healing process for me was a *****, because they told me to use antibacterial soap and that is it.

They were wrong. You need to use a saltine solution. You can purchase sea salt at walmart or any grocery store. Mix a couple teaspoons of it in a bottle of water.

Shake it until salt is dissolved, get a small shot glass and put the water in it. But it over your belly, then sit down with it for a few minutes. It may suction to your navel too, which is good. Shake it around a bit to get it in the piercing too. Do it two or so times a day!

This is really the only definate thing you should know.

Other then that, healing can take up to a year.

  5. before you go and get it done go here: www.bmezine.com

they have information about EVERY piercing imaginable and are very experienced. they also have a Q&A called ASKBME. you should always research your piercings before considering them.

ive have my navel pierced for 7 years and used them to look up information before hand. I had no problems but that doesn't mean you wont. make sure you go to a reputable place meaning that they aren't about the money, they are about the quality of your piercing and experience.

  6. the only painful thing to me was the clamp, which is where they hold the skin so they can put the needle through.

Everyones pain tolerance is different, but i must say, i have very little pain tolerance and i handled it fine.

Afterwards it didn't hurt, it just felt really strange.

To clean it you just use a soap (mine provided me with a special one) and clean the area 3 times a day.

  7. i got mine done when i was turning 15! ..i was so scared at first and the lady made me stand up and bend backwards over a chair (un comfy) so that made it worse! lol but i think your supposed to lay down...the women marked me with a pen (it tickled tehe) and then she cleaned everything(make sure you watch them clean everything) then she puts the hallow needle threw and once that's done she puts the navel ring inside the needle and screws on the ball....its actually pretty quick !!! and it felt no worse than a bee sting...and after words they put a galls thing over it (leave that on while you sleep for the next week) there will be blood mine wasn't to much...my aunt got it done with me lol sounds weird but shes 40 !!! and i no if she can handle it you can but she got it done because i said she wouldn't!......healing it looked funny it was really dry around it and gooey stuff came out of it(which showed it was healing) umm no bad stories ? nothing bad happened but it feels weird for the first week having a little ball hit the inside of your navel lol!!! and clean it with sea salt before you go to bed ! and anti bacterial soap in the shower...it helps the healing process....and i think that's all ...hope i helped have fun and good luck!!!

  8. i had mine done a week ago today.

it didn't hurt, but they will clamp it, which kind of pinches your skin. the needle will go through and it will be another sharp pinch. for about a half an hour afterwards, it will sting a little (less than a bee sting).

i don't live in dallas, so i cannot recommend a place to get it done, sorry.

so far the healing process has been pretty good. i use a spray called H2Ocean 5 times a day, but as an alternative, you can do a salt water soak (your piercer will tell you how to do it). right now it is a little red and swollen, but not painful. sleeping with it is a little awkward for the first few days, and bending and/or wearing tight clothing will irritate it, so be careful with that.

other than that, everything is good. good luck!

  9. i got mine done two days ago.

i went with my two friends.

it didn't hurt but an hour later i couldn't laugh because it hurt too much.

i live in Jersey but pierced it in Manhattan, so ummm yeah.

    so far its healing good.
