  1. In California, you need to take both. Consult your driver's handbook, that really helps, study that. Also try to get some practice tests, and take some of those. Even though most questions are common sense, you still gotta tackle it like its a midterm. As for driving test, if you have Never, Ever, driven before, you should take behind the wheel courses, or have a good friend with a okay car, let you practice driving in an empty parking lot. I passed both tests the first time.. And i still get in an accident.. Auuugh..

  2. i had to take the written permit test then just the road test for my licence.... i failed my first road test though.....d**n school zones lol

  3. Yes, I had to take both. When you have a license in one state and move to a new state, you usually just have to take their written test though.

  4. i had to take both (fl). it was a while ago,  i think i failed the written the 1st time, but they let you take it over right then, and passed the driving 1st time. no classes just a whole lotta go cart driving. haha

  5. Yes, as of here in Malaysia.

    We have to take both.

Or else, if you want, go get the "Kopi-O" Licence (Illegal Licence), but honestly, this licence is c**p...

Better that we learn the real thing to pass...

  6. I took written to get my permit

and then the driving test to get my license.
