People who know Tokyo fairly well?

I got me a job in Shinjuku and have to look for an apartment.

I am looking for a place that isn't too much of a commute.

Any suggestions where I might look?

  1. You can ask help from real estate agencies.

  2. Ogikubo has serveral advantages.

    1. It's the terminal of the Marunouchi subway line so you can get on it before it gets packed. I used to commute from Ogikubo to Tokyo and I got a seat every morning

    2. It's on the JR chuo line as well, so if you want to get out of the city just get on it and head west. Heading east it's five stops until you get to Shinjuku.

    3. Best ramen in Tokyo

    4. It's full of 9-5 people so it's quiet after midnight-bozozuku don't seem to favour Ogikubo. Your just not going to get some creep peddling toulene or whatever in that part of town.

    5. Those 9-5 people have plenty of izakaya, yakitori-ya, stand bars, etc. to pop into on their way home from work-but don't go looking for a disco
