why they were invented?

my guess is so that people wont have to ask for directions over and over again. It really helps cause you can travel around and see whats out in there world..it also saves GAS!

I think its successful but the only bad part is they are not 100% accurate they can't detect 1 way streets or railroad crossings etc. But other then that its a must in every car if your a traveler.

they were invented basically so people can drive places quickly and efficiently (they know about closed rodes, construction, heavy traffic, etc) and will detour you around it.

it is successful because they are so handy. it tells you where ot turn, when to turn, how many km/m you have to drive on one road. if you miss a turn it will recalculate to get you back on track.

when you have a gps in your car you can never be lost!

They were invented to guide us throughout the world.

Sure we've got maps about the cities but we don't have maps about deserts... or jungles... etc. That's where GPS comes in.

It can also be used as a weapon to see enemy positions and to guide missiles.

It's a million dollar industry so yeah.. I suppose it was successful.
