Question:

People who know braces!

Okay so I've had my braces for 2 1/2 years and at the beginning they said I could get them off in April of 08. Well, when I went back they said I had to keep them on longer because my back teeth haven't grown in yet and they want to see if they'll come in straight. I don't remember what they're called but I'm 14, if that helps.

Anyways, my teeth are perfectly straight, I don't have an overbite, and out of the 4 teeth that are supposed to come in, both tops are 3/4 or more in, 1 bottom is half in and the other one is 1/4 the way in.

Do you think they will be able to tell now? How good are my chances of getting them off now? Also, I have a lisp. Will this go away once they come off?

  1. im pretty sure they'll be able to tell by now. but im no orthodontist so i might be wrong. as for the lisp, i doubt it since 2 1/2 years is plenty of time to get used to them, but again im no professional so i may be wrong.

  2. If they're coming in now them they should be able to tell pretty soon. If you didn't have a lisp before you got them on then you shouldn't when they come off.
