Why is it that the St kilda beach is voted by the herald Sun to be the dirties beach in Victoria? Why is it that it could be dirty? Where does the polution comes from? i live near the St Kilda beach but havent swam there since i was 5. I am too scared that i would catch something from the dirty water. Is that possible? Thank you

  1. ha ha i read that in the paper too today. and i can't believe you don't know that st kildas beach dirty. its not the pollution part but the drugs part. st kilds is a shifty place! (sorry if you live there)

people leave drugs and needles all over that place.

i was happy just to read that the most safest beach was torquay front beach, that's my summer hide away.

    peace

  2. even country people know that Stkilda beach you have to be careful, walk along the footpath and look down on sand and youll eventually find a needle

  3. it's dirty because of the needles and rubbish left behind by people but also because everytime it rains, all the c**p on the roads gets washed down the drains and into the bay. This includes the ciggie buts thrown out of car windows, the poo left behind by dogs, the mikkey d's wrappers dropped on the ground, the oil and fuel from cars - everything.

    I don't swim there and wouldn't - it's disgusting, like swimming in a sewer.

  4. maybe because this is the beach where the druggies and prosties go to.
