People who live in Tucson, Arizona...?

Question

My dad got a very good job offer for a bio-med company in Tucson and we are not very sure about moving. I was wondering how good the schools are and hearing about the failing economy, how are things in Arizona. Personally I would want to move back to the west coast, all my family lives in California ( I lived there for 7 years and then my dads company moved him to North Carolina wich sucks ), so it would be so great to see them more often.

Schools are decent. UofA creates a nice intellectual atmosphere, good concerts and such.

If he has a good job, who cares about the economy?

And it's only a few hours drive from California!
