  1. If you already have "too much" to deal with then dont get one. first and foremost, hamsters are nocturnal.  They NEED to run and play and will most likely do it at night while you are trying to sleep. They also reqiure little changes every few days or so because the litter will start to smell REALLY bad. Unfortunately, so many people buy hamsters and stick them in the garage or other bedroom and just forget about them because they are too loud at night or too stinky.

  2. The daily things u have to do for a hamster are changing water and food and cleaning up the hamster droppings. Every week u clean the whole cage though. You do not have to take it to the vet unless it gets sick. Of course it's not mandatory  to take a sick hamster to a vet but you don't want it to die. Nesting? Do you mean making their home comfortable if u do yes they do it all by themselves. Good Luck i hope this helps:)

  3. >>>are hamsters hard to take care of whats the daily things you have to do??

Daily, just check their food and water dishes//bottles to make sure they are up to par.  They are generally really easy to care for, especially if you only have one.

You need to hold them as well, to keep them tame.  If you don't hold them every day or at least often, then they will get mean and bite when you try to get them out and play with them.

    >>>do you need to take it to the vet?? is it neccessary??

No.  I took my hamster to a vet and that was fruitless.  Hamsters are, what, around ten dollars, right?  First off, a hamster would only be able to go to an exotic vet.  An office visit will cost about $40.  Then if any medicine is prescribed, it could easily total up to $120.

Then the medicine is a pain.  You'll have to emotionally scar your hamster to give it the medicine (sticking an eye dropper in its mouth and forcing it to take the medicine while holding it down).  Chances are, it won't love you after that.

If you take care of a hamster, it will not get sick and it will not even need anyone to look at it.  Plan on taking good care of your hamster, it's easier in the long run.

    >>>what about nesting do you put a nest in ther or do they make it themselves??

Hamsters will make their own nests out of anything they are provided with.  Most hamsters will use their own bedding in combination with something else.  Fluff from pet stores is fairly expensive and tends to smell fast.  Simply shred up some unscented tissues (one or two is enough) and place them all over his or her cage.  She will have fun picking them up and making her own nest.

    >>>i want to get a hamster but i already have to much to deal with so is it just changing food and water ?? daily??

You may want to hold off.  At first, hamsters will need to be held every day (to ensure they bond with you) and you'll need to just hang out with it.  Other than, their water and food only needs to be changed about once a week along with their bedding.  This can easily be done all in thirty minutes any time of the day.

You need to provide a nice home for this hamster.  Let it run around in an exercise ball for perhaps 10-25 minutes a few times a week at least.  You will need to provide a wheel (don't get plastic, they'll chew it up and they'll pee inside it and make it stink).

That's about it, they're really basic.  Just make sure you don't under or over feed them~!

  4. Put in a water bottle, a food bowl with food, line the cage with bedding, and give them something to play with like a wheel. Simple as that. Change they're water every so often and feed them when the bowl is starting to look empty. Change the bedding every week or so, so it doesnt start to smell.

  5. change water and food every day and make sure they have their daily nutrition like fruits and vegetables they love seeds also my hammy love to stuff her checks with sun flower seeds :) also you don't need to take it to the vet if it's not sick and the nesting they make themselfs

  6. pretty much u just hav to feed and water it and buy a wheel for the cage and some type of log so they can chew it. yes they make there own nest.

  7. Okay I have four Syrian Hamsters  2 Girls and 2 Boys DO NOT put Syrian hamster in the same cage no matter what s*x they are because they are very Violent! Dwarf Hamsters are the best kind of hamsters to get two of because they get along with each other but get 2 girls or 2 boys not a boy and a girl because you will get babies! 10-20 At one time! The Daily things you have to do are give them food every two days and change there water everyday. For bedding use care fresh and you can rip up a couple tissues or paper towels and place them in the cage and they will build their own nest. You have to change their Cage every week or twice a week depending on how smelly they are! They are nocturnal so they are very active at night but if you oil the squeaky wheel with Cooking Spray or mineral oil on a Q-Tip it will make the wheel silent! They are pretty hyper but as they get older they become calmer so you might have trouble getting them to sit still on your lap but make sure you take them out and play with them! Do not wake them up because they get cranky and they will bite you would too!

  8. Ok, they are like the easiest things to take care of.

Daily things you need to do:

    -Give food

    -Fresh water

    -Play with it,around 20 min or 15.

-Some days, give a TINY bit of veggies

You only need to take it to the vet if it is sick

Or if there is something wrong

All you need to put in their nest is bedding

    And they build the nest

    [[Add some toys if wanted]]

And you need to clean their cage once a week

How i do that is I

    -Boil hot water

    -Dump out the bedding

-Pour hot water into the bottem of the cage

    -Scrub with a sponge

    -rinse

    -put bedding back it

  9. HAMSTERS are easy to take care of. You need a cage, wheel, food dish, food, and a water bottle...But most cages come with all of that. you will need to make daily contact with your hamster if you with it to get used to you!! You won't need to take it to the vet if you take good care of the hammy.....wash your hands if you touched cuz you have germs in you hand..i clean my robo's cage every tuesday( change his food, water and bedding)

  10. hamsters really requires emotional support and time i mean you can have one and do just as much as required for him to survive...but then it will be more like a headache...tagline buy a hamster only if you want one if you just want a pet that doesn't need so much attension get a oscar fish they r smarter than most fish and are good pets

  11. no not really all u got to do is let it run in there ball for 30 minutes and after and week u got to change its beeding and food.
