  1. 1) Yes, and I had it done last week....LOVE it :)

    2) I wore contacts and they always got crud on them and I could ALWAYS feel them.  Glasses were worse because I didn't have peripheral vision when driving and you can't run around with them on.

    3) my prescription was -2.25 in both peepers

  2. Yes definitely!!

I was wearing specs, later wore contacts...jus did my lasik...

specs are ok...i didnt like the look of specs on me...and the fact tat i have to search for them everytime i sit in front of computer...and while watching tv.... i am quite careless and keep it somewhere..and end up searching for it...and its uncomfy to wear as well....

so switched to contacts...used them for like 5 yrs....then that became boring as well...(maintaining it)...

so decided to go for lasik and i am very happy i did!!

  3. Lasik is a great alternative for glasses/contacts, but it depends on the situation.  Often times lasik centers will have a free exam to tell you whether or not you're a good candidate for it.  Check into your local ones.  I definately would do it - I've seen it all from being in surgery myself to telling if patients are candidates.  It's very exciting and I've seen some awesome results.

Wearing your glasses after your surgery is NOT a good idea and here's why - once your eye is healing it can accomodate to other Rx's if you'r not careful.  So you can literally donate or throw away your glasses the moment you have lasik, b/c you'll never need that prescription again!

I've worked in lasik for a few yrs and have a Bach. of science degree.

  4. I wear glasses, and i hate them whatever new pair i get, they always irritate the bridge of my nose, also at the end of the day, my eyes feel tired and itchy. I enquired about having laser treatment (400.00 pound per eye) and the optition said, because i had various sight problems in my eyes, that laser treatment could not be performed, i think that only short sighted problems benifit from laser treatment, not fair is it?

  5. No why take the chance of some doctor who thinks hes god s******g up your eyes. If you can see with the glasses be happy and dont mess with what god gave you.

  6. never  alway wear glasses and i go kart and swim with them.  i would never wear contacts or lenses!

  7. no!had glasses since 17,and consider them "face jewelry".i change my glasses to match various outfits and enjoy doing so.i work in the health field(nurse)so i think the right glasses also make me look studious and scientific! at my age,im starting to get crows feet, but my glasses hide them rather effectively.better than botox-and easier!!! i am used to them, and i have fun with the look.i occasionally have worn contacts, but i like my glasses better.if i had lasik now, those lines around my eyes would become suddenly more noticeable, the glasses are serving me well at this point!no,my glasses dont interfere.i swim and ride horses with them on,and dont feel hindered, ive had a lifetime with them-they are a comfortable part of me.

  8. Been wearing specs since I was 14. only got contacts the beginning of the year. I'm too scared to get lasik eye surgery, if it goes wrong you could end up permanently blind. Glasses are a pain, they always steam up after being outside on a cold day, they attract dust, when it rains you can't see jack, When it's sunny they seem to make the sun shine directly into your eyes and mine and my fiance's glasses clash when we kiss lol!
