  1. speaking from a shelter in maryland NO we do not allow young people under the age of 18 to volunteer in our shelter. Our insurance does not cover this and its an accident waiting to happen.

We do allow young people to volunteer at our special events outside of the shelter kennels. The school systems have programs here in the US which require students to do community service hours in order to graduate. Without adult supervision 13 year olds working with dogs could be disaster.

  2. hiya i am pretty sure if you contaact local kennels near to you they would be mor ethan happy for extra dog walkers and kennel hands.

my friend would be i know that! :)
