I recently got my lip pierced. The nearest piercing place to me is an hour there and back by bus, which is a 2 hour ride altogether :S. I bought H2Ocean spray from my piercer a month or two ago when I was getting my belly button ring changed for the first time. Does anyone know any other methods of cleaning the outside of the piercing instead of H2Ocean? I don't want to spend 2 hours on the bus when I run out and need more!

  1. i have snake bites, and here's what i did:

i had antibacterial Dial soap, and i would wet my face, put a little bit of the soap on a cotton swab and apply it around the piercing, wiggle it around gently, then rinse with warm running water, and rinse my mouth, sometimes with MILD mouthwash. 3-4 times a day. 3 days and the swelling was gone and i never had a problem with them ever since.

  2. my peircer said to rise mouth out with mouthwash after everytime i drank or ate anything for the first like 2 weeks, and i used polysporn on the outside.

  3. Okay, I don't have my lip pierced but I had a boyfriend who had snakebites.  When he got his done, he carried mouthwash around in a flask and cleaned them frequently.  Apparently they healed in like half the time it usually takes for lip piercings to heal. :/

Butttt take that with a grain of salt.

    He's a dirty liar. :]

I'm sure the whole mouthwash thing was true, just don't depend on them healing in two weeks.

  4. Rubbing alcohol is what I used for all my piercings and it was fine. Stings a little, but does the job.
