  1. Dude. You arent going to get a very good gaming rig for under $2000 but I will tell you my setup that can play bioshock on all settings maxed with no problem and its not even a gaming rig.

Intel Pentium 4 single core 3.06ght

    1 Gigabyte DDR2 Ram

    160 Gig Hard Drive(I recommend 200-300)

The graphics card really depends on your gaming taste. If your one for the best graphics and frame rates for a fps like Crysis. your going to need to spend around $300-$500 on the card. If your someone who doesnt game often but wants all settings maxed when you do, Id go with the Ati Radeon Hd 3800 series. I personally use Sapphire Radeon HD3650 and am very happy with it for under $80. If you can, get 2 of them with a crossfire enabled motherboard. Crossfire is the best thing for gaming.

Id go with a flatpanel if you can and if you can, go with dual screens. Really helps you out when your multitasking
