People with life experience please, what do you think of this...?

An old saying is...

Be like water, water can be like anything conforming to it, and water can destroy anything.

Or this...

Be like salt in a glass of water. Alone you the grain of salt are salt all alone, but when in a glass of water you become that glass of water, every atom of it. We are all a part of everything, and should rid ourselves of the dynamic rivalry. This leading way to kung/emptiness. Everything is emptiness and fullness one in the same without the rivalry.

  1. I learned to become like water. Light, maneuverable, you cannot grab it or punch it, yet water can be the gentle rain or the destructive tsunami.

  2. The art of "becoming one"with whatever you do or even an opponent .You do not make him lose you allow him to lose.

And that mastery involves a long long road of study and effort.

  3. But, we cannot be like water, because water does not think or feel, it has no reason or mind.  It does not have a soul.  We can only flow like water does.  Our humanity keeps us from being completely fluid.

  4. not bad. adding the salt may give individuality to the reader.. or it may leave a bad taste for some as if they are seperated from the rest. I understand where you are coming from and like the idea. and playing the advocate i also see some readers taking it as if they are the lone peace of salt in a big mean ocean of life. becoming nothing with the caos around them. however I like where your going with it.

  5. I was taught a similar one -- be like mist. Simply, do not be where you appear to be. But the deeper side is that nothing should harm you (physically or emotionally), and you shouldn't hurt anyone else, but let them hurt themselves.

Imagine being in a car with a deep mist. Does your driving hurt the mist? No... It simply moves around you and only the slightest trace of its presence is left. Suppose further you were driving very fast to try to harm said mist, the mist does nothing, and you still slam into a wall at high speed.

It's not simply having a fluid mind, but having no mind. Simply, there's nothing to grasp or even feel. Water may be able to be like anything, but to be like nothing, it too must become mist.

  6. If everything is made up of Atoms then everything is the possibility.? We are one with possibility. We can never be empty as we are made up of Atoms. Its not water that can destroy anything but matter itself made up from Atoms, which in itself produces force. Force becomes energy. Its the energy behind the force that makes the water a force capable of destroying anything.
