People with piercings, do you think this is odd?

Well, I pierced my own tragus today (spare me the oh no you stupid fool comments, this isnt what the Q is about. Im aware of the risks, and its my body. I also have sterile needles etc so, bleh.) ANYWAY, to the question at hand...So far my ear has been completely painless. I can't really feel the bar in my ear (yet my ear isn't numb) it doesnt really hurt at all. I brushed it accidently and still it didnt hurt. It hasn't swollen either, and it isn't red. It's not hot. The piercing strangely feels like a healed one...and certainly LOOKS like a healed one- ALTHOUGH i know for a fact it isnt and it will take a long time to heal! I suppose i will feel pain later, and I'll get that "new piercing feeling" soon. But even after 2 minutes of piercing my tragus i felt no pain, and its now been several hours. Do you think this is odd? I do because my 13 previous piercings have never felt this way. Have you ever had a piercing that felt this way?

  1. I have a much stupider comment.  What's a tragus?

  2. No I think people without piercings are odd

  3. My nostril piercing was like this. It didn't bleed, it didn't hurt, it looked healed, and it still did after a few months. No swelling, no redness, didn't hurt if I bumped it. I'm not sure that its "normal" but I think it's lucky.

  4. ur tragus is only cartilage. i think ur fine.
