People with the phone lg vu?

Question

i used to have a razr cell phone and i was able to set the volume on the alarm clock without having to change the main volume ringer. Now I have the lg vu and it will not let me set the volume on it from the alarm clock to i have to do it for the main ringtone volume. I want to have my main ringtone volume silent at night so no one will call me when i am sleeping, but with the lg vu i have to have it on high volume so the alarm clock will wake me up. how can i set the alarm clock volume on the lg vu?
