People with there bellybutton and/or nose pierced..?

Question

Was there any problems with either of them.. like did they get infected.. if not what did you do to keep them from getting screwed up.

Also, how bad does it hurt??

i had my septum done and it got infected about a week later. basically the nose ring i chose was very small and tight so with the initial swelling it kept compressing the area, long story short it eventually infected. i just took antibiotics and kept cleaning my piercing as usual and all was fine in a week's time. years later my septum piercing is fine and dandy, no swelling, no infections, no scarring.

just make sure you choose a nose ring that hangs loosely and doesn't actually compress your nose ( in case you get a septum like me) or if you pierce your bellybutton choose simple jewelry that will not get easily tangled up in clothing etc during the healing phase.

nose rings don't hurt too bad, belly buttons hurt a little more, it's a sharp pain but it's very fast. way easier than getting a tattoo or your legs waxed (in my opinion).

just breathe slowly, relax, and then take good after care of your piercing. good luck

No problems, didn't get infected, nothing.

I just cleaned each side of my nose twice everyday.  Sometimes not even twice.

Nose hardly even hurts.  Only a quick pinch for like a second and it's over.

I have both done and my nose i actually got done 3 times because they kept making me take it out in HS... needless to say, NO, it did not hurt. My bellybutton was like 1..2.. DONE! And it's really cute now. I'm glad I have both of them.. they're HOT! :)  You can do it.

my friend had her nose pierced and she said it was ok. it was just like a hard pinch, and her eyes watered up a little.

but be careful with the jewlery you get!

a few months later she changed her nose ring and there was this blackish-greenish dot on her nose where the ring was, and she couldnt wipe it off! so her mom took her to another piercing studio, and the lady told her that since she was pierced with such bad jewlery, her nose is going to have that discolored dot for the rest of her life!

I only have my belly button pierced but I had a bad experience with it. I cleaned it twice a day; in the morning when I showered after I got up, and once before I went to bed. Mine got infected twice and it was not pretty. The same thing happened to 2 of my other cousins and my sister, but another 2 didn't have a problem. I guess it really all depends on how your body reacts to it, no matter how well you take care of it. Even if it does get infected, it was relatively easy to take care of. It didn't hurt much at all, but obviously with any piercing it did involve pain. Just be careful of getting it snagged on clothing or rubbing against things for a while.

I have both done and have not had any problems with either of them, but I went to very reputable piercers and took very good care of them.  Don't touch with dirty hands, clean 2-3 times a day, don't change them until they're fully healed, etc.

Neither hurt me at all, but I have a very high tolerance for pain.

To me it honestly didn't hurt much at all.

Just make sure you don't make the mistake I did and not go to a professional. I went to this place that did it for $10. And they did it with a ear piercing gun. Bad idea. The healing process sucked. If you get it done right the first time no problems :D

Make sure you keep it clean. I used Sea Salt water. I hear it's one of the best things to use. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT use rubbing alcohol. It makes your nose bleed and get crusty. It hurts I've tried. Have fun with piercings. Your body is your temple so, decorate with pleasure. :D I hope this helped you somewhat.

I've had my belly button pierced.

Never had an infection. I used "Bactine" to keep it uninfected, and washing it with salt water once a day.

& on a scale of one to ten, It was probably a 2 or a 3. They use clamps to cut off the blood circulation to your belly button, so when they put the needle through, you only feel a second of pressure.

i have my belly button pierced!~ nothing happens, and it feel like a sharp pinch thats only like a sec. long then it just stings for about an hour afterwards!~

im 15 and I had both done. Nose hurt like **** to me, (getting it pierced that is) but it never got infected cos i looked after it and cleaned it everyday and never touched it. But i did have a allergic reactions to Stainless Steel which is VERY rare, but it happened to me, so i changed my stud to Bio-Felx stud instead.

Besides that its been fine. And my belly button has always been fine theres nothing ever wrong with it. Oh but the the little ball on the end of the belly ring falls out every now and then but thats it..

oh and bellybutton didnt hurt at all, me and my friend got it done in the month and we both said it hurt as much as your ears.

scale of 1 to 10 id say a 4.

getting your nose pierced id say 10. i cryed from the shock of how much it hurt.!

but its totally worth it.
