  1. I think it will cause major problems with the existing marine aquaculture.  It's not a long term solution either as the channel will just silt up again anyway.

I find it completely absurd that the Government of Austrailia is pretending to be concern about the environment, claiming that Gore-bal Warming (not a mis-spell) will damage the corals and reefs, among other things, and yet they are more than willing to sign off on a project for a "potential" increase in comercial traffic that will, absolutely, beyond any doubt, damage the reefs and corals in the area.

    As always, follow the money.  Politicians care absolutely squat about the environment unless it means cash or votes.

    Go online, sign the petition.
