Because these divas are idiots who can't sell the moves properly.

Maybe because they're dumb Divas who have rarely faced anyone with talent & ability so they've forgotten how to really sell a Sharpshooter... but that's my opinion

To make the hold look even more fearsome and devastating than it actually is.  The same happens with McCool's heel hook.

Remember, most of the Divas aren't really wrestlers.  They're just models and dancers playing wrestlers on TV and, thus, don't really know how to sell moves.
