The Catalan tactician has praised his side’s traditional foes and has admitted that they deserved to win the Spanish title this season.
Barcelona’s outgoing head coach, Pep Guardiola, has expressed that Real Madrid are worthy of being champions of the Spanish La Liga in the current season’s campaign, appreciating Jose Mourinho as a fine manager for Los Blancos.
The Santiago Bernabeu outfit claimed their 32nd La Liga title this past Wednesday as they secured a 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao.
As Jose Mourinho’s men travelled to the Basque country to face Marco Bielsa’s Bilbao at the San Memes, they were only 3 points away from securing the Liga BBVA trophy, which was a task that they carried out rather comfortably.
After becoming the champions of the Spanish Primera Division for the first time in the last three years, Los Merengues have attracted praise from all over the world. Their head coach, Jose Mourinho, was also lauded by football purists as he is considered
to be the driving force behind the Whites.
Los Vikingos have indeed proven themselves to be the team to beat across all of Iberian Peninsula. Their exploits in the Spanish Primera prove that they have improved a great deal as compared to the previous season.
Guardiola has also paid his respects to the new La Liga trophy holders and has expressed the belief that they have done everything to deserve the accolade.
