Reigning World Player of the Year, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dani-Alves-c9869 is profiting from being in the same squad. The Argentina international has been given a four-day extra leave, with the Brazilian international
scheduled to return two days prior.
The Catalan club have reported that the team will resume training on December 29 at 1900 hours. This will allow Barca to prepare for their Copa del Rey match against Osasuna, their first competitive fixture of the year 2012.
With the exception of Messi and Alves, all players will report to duty on the given time. Guardiola allowed Messi to prolong his stay in Argentina and as a result, the striker will return to training on January 2.
Dani Alves was also allowed to take two extra days off and will now return to action on December 31.
The right-back’s vacations started earlier but participated in La Blaugrana's final training session before their match against L’ Hospitalet.
In any case, it has to be seen whether the Argentinean star enjoys his holidays or returns before time, respecting the discipline of the team.
Barcelona’s first squad practice of the year will witness the absence of Andres Iniesta. The Spanish international injured himself during the encounter with L’ Hospitalet and has been ruled out for a minimum of fifteen days.
Iniesta will be afforded ample time to recover during the holiday season. However, one thing is for certain: he will not take any part in Barcelona’s first leg of Copa del Rey Round of 16 match against Osasuna.
In addition, he can quite possibly miss their league match against Espanyol at Cornella-El Prat.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Villa-c10629 are the other absentees of the Catalan club. Both players have been ruled out of first team action for long periods.
It is expected that the Dutch winger will be available in March, while Villa got operated on his broken left tibia. He will be sidelined for upto five months.
