Pep Guardiola has issues with the signing of Brazilian Robinho
Though the Brazilian world class forward Robinho wants to join Barcelona, claiming that it's his dream club, the Spanish giants are uninterested in his arrival at Cap Nou. The victors of La Liga have said that they don’t require the services of Robinho for now but they do admire his talent.
Earlier on, the international player announced that he really didn’t want to play for Manchester City anymore when his load deal with Santos finishes in the beginning of August. Robinho said that he would love it if he has a chance to play for the Catalans.
Sources have revealed that the Barcelonan manager has stated that he doesn’t want Robinho on his team though he does admire his skill. Pep Guardiola has said that although he admires Rabinho's footballing skills, he has doubts over his performance. Robinho has been known to be sort of a menace off field and especially as the kind of person who creates divides in the locker room.
Apparently the Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has his reservations against the striker. There is speculation that if the club gets a good offer they are going to get rid of the 26 year old. But not signing Robinho does not mean that the club is not interested in signing players other than Arsenal’s Cecs Fabregas. Sources have revealed that Pep Guardiola will sign in a new player this week.
Final conclusions are being made as to the final list of players required by Barcelona and with the arrival of the new President of Barcelona Sandro Rosell on the 1st of July, the process was halted for a while but everythings finally back on track. Rosell has also confirmed that he will use the services of Guardiola in this season, though the talks have not been as straight forward as the new head of Camp expected them to be.
There is news that Pep is about to put pen to paper and sign in the new deal, but there are massive rumours that there were obstacles on the way, especially from Rosell. The deal is expected to keep him at Barcelona for the next 3 years. Pep Guardiola became incharge of Camp Nou in the season of 2008-09 and impressed all with treble wins in his very first season. He outclassed everyone on the latest season and came close to winning the Champions League title.
Rosell took control of Barcelona on the 1st of July from Joan Laporta who he worked for as vice president but after having issues with the running of the club, he resigned. As a matter of fact back then they developed bitter differences between one another. Now Rosell has won over Camp Nou with massive votes in comparison to Laporta. And upon Laporta’s departure he wished Rosell a hearty good luck in running the club which Rosell later referred to as unexpected after they fought so much. He nevertheless appreciated it.
However Rosell is the new man in and he has to prove himself worthy and showcase his superiority over to the previous president, and in order for that he has to start his own fame campaign in which he will have to show the club being run poorly and give criticism regarding previous decisions. He has taken a loan of 150 million to meet the expenses of the day to day running of the club after saying that the club had run out of money. The truth in fact was that they were signing in new players and the deficiency of money was created by banks who had to pay the club.
He also asked the legendary honorary president of Barcelona, Johan Cruyff to resign telling him that the post didn’t really exist but later apologized and told him that he would reinstate him but Johan Cryff replied by saying that he was operating at the post like a circus master and he wouldn’t accept the offer.
