their current slum.
While talking to reporters, he said: “I am very optimistic about the future. It is a good appointment and, hopefully, Liverpool can have a better season than they did last time.”
Rodgers arrived at Swansea City as a manager in July 2010. In total, he managed the club in 96 matches and compiled 43 wins during this period. However, he is more credited for developing possession-retaining and fluent passing football at the Liberty Stadium-
a style more common in the Spanish league.

He remarked, “I watched quite a bit of Swansea last season and I always like my teams to play like that… It is my style and one that will be very good for Liverpool.”
Liverpool experienced a bruising campaign last season, which saw them finish the league table in the eighth position. As a result of the Reds foundering to mount a challenge for a top-four finish, the club’s owners fired Liverpool’s director of football
Damien Comolli in April and also axed former manager Kenny Dalglish from the management seat, following the Reds 1-0 defeat against Swansea in the season’s last game.
Keeping in view the introduction of new personnel and club’s tinkering with the current director system, Reina admitted that the process of Liverpool’s revival will consume time, and warned the fans of setting up high expectations from Rodgers in the coming
season.
He added, “He is going to need time to implement his ideas. It is not going to happen in the blink of an eye.”
