The 29-year-old does not think his side, who are currently seventh on the Premier League table, will be able to challenge for the Premier League title for at least another season or two. He even believed finishing in the top four of the Premier League table
would prove to be difficult for the Reds.
In their latest fixture against Bolton Wanderers in the Premier League, the Reds went on to suffer an embarrassing 3-1 defeat. Manager Kenny Dalglish criticized the team for their lack of desire and effort against the Trotters, while the supporters blamed

2011-2012 season.
Reina said in an interview:
“I think it will be two or three more years before we are ready to challenge for the Premier League or Champions League again.
Hopefully it will be as soon as possible but we are within touching distance of the Carling Cup final.
We have not won a trophy since 2006 and it is very important to the club to collect some silverware this season.
At Liverpool, winning trophies is vital and we have a great chance of doing that in the Carling Cup.”
The Spaniard believed it was highly important for Liverpool to secure silverware this season, having gone without trophies since 2006. He revealed it was essential at the club to win something and they had that opportunity with the Carling Cup.
Reina believed his side lacked the finishing touch because of which they had been unable to win their last couple of matches. Liverpool have managed to secure just one point this past month, which proves they are struggling in the Premier League.
Reina continued:
“We are a good team, especially tactically, but perhaps we have lacked a little imagination to win enough matches.”
