The Portuguese defender called on his team-mates to maintain their focus on La Liga in order to secure more victories in their upcoming fixtures.
Pepe has expressed his jubilation at Real Madrid's 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano on Monday; however, he urged that it is imperative that Los Blancos cannot lose their concentration from now on as it can prove costly.
"The most important thing is that we won the game. It was a difficult match, but we worked hard and showed that we're a solid team that's capable of winning things,” http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-c29670 was quoted as saying by Marca.
"The season has really started for us now. We have a number of important games coming up and we have to show the same focus that we displayed against Rayo. Rayo made life difficult for us with their good players, and we have to keep up our good work in the
next few weeks."
The centre-back pointed out that the current Spanish champions have every capability of shining in the new season’s campaign, adding that the only thing required at the moment is determination and luck.
Jose Mourinho’s men had to experience a great deal of disappointment as they dropped 8 points at the very start of their league campaign.
In their first 4 games of the season, the Whites could manage only one victory, with two defeats and one match registered as a draw.
Although the Spanish giants were expected to win all of their initial encounters in the Spanish Primera Division, Los Merengues failed to make the impact many had predicted.
Losing out to weaker opponents certainly put the Madridistas in the thick of things.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 winning all of their league matches, the pressure was multiplied and many wondered if the Santiago Bernabeu outfit have a chance at defending the Spanish La Liga title which they secured last season.
Nevertheless, Los Vikingos have found their winning ways yet again as they defeated Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League during midweek, followed by a 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano this Monday.
Although Vallecano did put up a challenge, Los Blancos proved too much to handle for their opponents.
