  1. They mostly have the same taste just that each one has a different taste to it. they can be used in salads. but i prefer green peppers

  2. Ripeness! Red is ripe and sweet, the others are more bitter.

  3. You can use all of these in a salad, but be sure everyone likes peppers, I believe the yellow ones are a little sweeter, next is red and last is green which has a stronger pepper taste. I have used all in a salad and are very good.

  4. the taste, a red pepper is sweetest as it is more ripe, i dont like the other ones. think of a traffic light system lol

  5. There are several colors of bell pepper, red, yellow, and orange. Green bell peppers are one of the 3 varieties that just hasn't ripened yet. The ripe peppers are slightly sweeter than the green ones. They're all good to use in salads.

  6. Bell pepper is a cultivar group of the species Capsicum annuum. Cultivars of the plant produce peppercorns which develop into fruits in different colors, including red, yellow, green and orange. Bell peppers are sometimes grouped with less pungent pepper varieties as "sweet peppers". Peppers are native to Mexico, Central America and northern South America. Pepper seeds were later carried to Spain in 1493 and from there spread to other European and Asian countries. Today, Mexico remains one of the major pepper producers in the world.

Peppers come from blossoms making them fruits botanically but they are treated as vegetables culinary because they are not sweet. They blend better with vegetables.

The color can be green, red, yellow, orange and, more rarely, white, purple, blue, and brown, depending on when they are harvested and the specific cultivar. Green peppers are unripe bell peppers, while the others are all ripe, with the color variation based on cultivar selection. Because they are unripe, green peppers are less sweet and slightly more bitter than yellow, orange, purple or red peppers. The taste of ripe peppers can also vary with growing conditions and post-harvest storage treatment; the sweetest are fruit allowed to ripen fully on the plant in full sunshine, while fruit harvested green and after-ripened in storage are less sweet.

are that they all come from the Bell Pepper, in different stages of growth, which, gives them their different sweetness. thats all, but all are equally delightful taste, in all sorts of savoury dishes including chopped up in salads and stir fries.

  9. The difference is in pepper colors is in the ripeness.  The green pepper is the most sharp flavor while the red pepper can be sweet, especially when sauteed or stir fried.  All three can be used in salads. The use of green pepper in a salad can be used for a more savory taste and the yellow and red peppers be used for sweeter tasting salad. All three are delicious raw or sauteed.
