Question:

Peppermint tea - cure for water retention

I have been to the doctors today and she thinks I may be suffering from water retention and has suggested I drink peppermint tea after a meal. I have just bought some from our local Tesco's and it tastes awful. Does anyone know of a herbal/peppermint tea that tastes o.k. I will drink this tea if it is good for me but it would be nice to find one that tastes o.k. P.S. I have never liked any herbal teas much!

  1. Anything with a high percentage of Dandelion in it will act as a diuretic.

It would probably be better to find a Dandelion herbal tea instead of the Dandelion coffee. Dandelion is called Pissenlit in French, which literally means p**s in the bed. Ask for advice at your local health food shop, they may be able to recommend different, including foods, to help with your problem. Have you thought of cutting down your salt intake? Salt makes you retain water.

  2. dandelion tea is also good

  3. Haveyou tried Thickomints?
